Privacy Policy

This explains what Mr Extractor collects when you use the service, why, and the choices you have.

Overview

Mr Extractor lets you search Google Maps by category and location and export the results as a spreadsheet. This policy covers two different kinds of data: the account information you give us, and the public business listings our tool retrieves on your behalf. We treat them differently, and this page explains how.

Account information

When you create an account we store your name, email address, and a hashed version of your password — we never store your password in plain text. If you upgrade to a paid plan, our payment processor handles your card details directly; we only keep a record of your plan, billing cycle, and invoice history.

Business data you export

The listings you export — names, phone numbers, categories, and the other fields Mr Extractor pulls from Google Maps or Bing Maps — are public information about businesses, not personal data about you. We keep a copy of your job results so you can revisit or re-download them from your job history, and remove it once you delete the job or close your account.

Usage and log data

We log the searches you run, the credits each job consumes, and basic technical details like your browser and IP address. This is what lets us show you accurate credit balances, keep the queue fair during busy hours, and spot abuse of the free tier.

Cookies and local storage

Mr Extractor stores an authentication token in your browser so you stay signed in between visits. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies — the only thing stored locally is what's needed to keep your session working.

How we use this information

  • Running your searches and returning your export
  • Keeping your job history and saved searches available
  • Billing and account support
  • Detecting abuse of the credit system
  • Improving the product based on how it's actually used

Sharing with third parties

We share account data only with the services that keep Mr Extractor running: our payment processor for billing, and our cloud hosting provider for infrastructure. We don't sell your data, and we don't share your job results or account details with anyone else.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Job results follow your plan's retention window. If you delete a job, close your account, or ask us to remove your data, we delete it from our systems within 30 days, except where we're required to keep billing records for longer.

Your rights

You can review, correct, or export your account information from your dashboard settings at any time. To request a full copy of your data or to delete your account, contact us and we'll handle it within a reasonable time.

Security

All traffic to Mr Extractor is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to operate the service, and passwords are never stored or logged in plain text.

Children's privacy

Mr Extractor is a business tool and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your data, we'll update the date at the top of this page and let active users know by email.
